Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Sucoleo!
Bulbagarden Archives bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Shuffle Pikachu Sprites

Wanted to get back to you on your own talk page, so creating it for you.

I have uploaded the 81 new Pokémon and will be uploading Alola forms, Shinies, and Mega Shinies possibly today or tomorrow. However, the Pikachu variants not currently used are going to wait until we see how they are named in-game. So what I'd like you to do, as I will most likely miss them, is watch for them to be released and then report back to me on it. I can make sure the correct image is available for use in the table. You are invited to use any of the other images (check my upload log to verify what's there) as necessary on the Bulba side as they release in-game. I will be reviewing some sprites that look like they might match others and some may not be necessary, but I'll figure that out later. CycloneGU (talk) 17:30, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Got it. I'll make sure to notify you of the new releases on Shuffle. Sucoleo (talk) 22:17, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Uploading

Try to upload more or less in order in you can. I'm going to keep track and may upload any I see missed, but it's easier for me to follow if you're not jumping like you did from 1 to 4, then 7, and 16, back to 2, etc. =)

I may also look for other images that are not yet uploaded and take care of those, so I'll let you know if I do that. You can then remove those from your list. CycloneGU (talk) 22:39, 7 April 2017 (UTC)

Alright. I'll start doing in order now. - unsigned comment from Sucoleo (talkcontribs)
I noticed a few winkers got missed. Bulbasaur winking is 900, and the other two are there as well. You got Clefairy's wink, but Clefable is 919. Chansey is 923, and Johto starters follow (you're not at Johto yet, no worries). Are these all files that are not yet uploaded in any form? If that's the case, I can go back and cover these when you're done for the day. I'll also go back and check the Shiny ones as I know many are not uploaded, but I'm for now following your progress to note anything to cover. Thanks for skipping the remaining Pikachu for now, as well, as I know there are a lot and they will probably come out in phases, so we can name and upload them then. CycloneGU (talk) 00:32, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Ah, yes. I'm only replacing the existing files for now so that I don't get confused. The ones that are not yet uploaded like Clefable and Chansey's winking sprites are skipped. I didn't want to bother you every time I come across a new sprite after all, so I sorted out all the ones that are not yet uploaded with the intent to check with you later. I'll stop right at the beginning of Johto, but I'll continue a few hours later (it's morning here, so I have plenty of time after I dealt with some personal businesses). Sucoleo (talk) 00:44, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
If you're taking a break, I'll look at and cover whatever I can see remaining from Kanto. I'm deleting files from the ZIP but pulled out the back 300 or so to catch those I need to upload myself. Assume that the mentioned winkers are covered. I have extracted all winkers, so I will cover any missing ones, though you could copy and paste the info on any of the files and just update it for anything new as well. CycloneGU (talk) 01:01, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Alright, sounds good! Thank you for covering the missing ones. Sucoleo (talk) 01:07, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
OK, all Kanto winks are done, and I'm doing all the new Johto winks. That leaves four that are already there (starters and Togetic), so I'll do them; thus, go ahead and delete from your side everything from 900 to 938. I have not yet checked 939 and onwards and am uploading the Johto now. (EDIT: Keep the Pikachus. And 922-937 are unique. I have not checked those.)
Partly for my own notes and also yours, I noted 985, 1008, 1009, 1010 (female Wobbuffet, I did the original recently), 1011, 1012, 1137, and 1143-46; if any of these exist already, go ahead with them, but otherwise I'll cover them if they are not there. The main thing is getting all the main forms up as Special Stages is really the place any of the unique ones will be, with some possible exceptions (Shiny Mega Rayquaza is an area boss, I believe). Hopefully I didn't miss any for those two generations. CycloneGU (talk) 01:33, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

Updating what I'm up to while you upload, I've renamed all of the files on my end that are Shiny, Mega Shiny, and such, only leaving a few costumed ones. There is a Shiny Hippowdon and Hippopotas in the group, interestingly. Ignoring that, and also excluding Alola Forms (which you got already), Alola begins at 1063 (going to 1136) and the main initial set, exluding Megas, ends at 852, which is Volcanion. I've separated all the leftover Pikachus into a couple of folders locally as well as separating everything else in the 853-1062 range that is not already uploaded, and I'm clearing them and the others from both the ZIP and my local directory as I see them uploaded. I'll eventually start uploading my copies of the files.

You're doing quite well over there; I'm getting e-mails for every single one I previously uploaded (that's my fault), and deleting those and others watching the recent uploads section. I see you're almost halfway and am guessing you're stopping at the end of Hoenn. You can continue if you wish (totally up to you), but inthe morning I may jump on and upload some of the Shinies and Mega Shinies as well as some other images that are unique for some reason, then I'll move to Alola so I don't cross paths with your uploading. =) Of course, if you want to go all the way through this evening, feel free; I'll just clean up what's left. =D CycloneGU (talk) 08:05, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

I'm assuming that the Hippowdon and Hippopotas you're referring to are the same as these? If so, then they're actually the female variant of those Pokemons. I don't think I've encounter a Shiny sprite for them though, but I might be mistaken. The sprites in that image are the variants that are not yet uploaded. These are the remaining Shinies that I have sorted out. I just wanted to check with you. Also, I don't think I'm going to go all the way haha. I'll develop carpal tunnel syndrome. I'm just going to stop at the end of Sinnoh for today. Sucoleo (talk) 08:21, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Oh, they are females. That makes sense, given we have a couple other females added.
Thought you might quit at the end of Hoenn for the same reason you quoted. XD As noted, I'll leave the other regions for now and look through the shiny sprites in the morning (for me). That's my focus, and Alola is where I'll go if I run out of stuff. Affter that, I'll see where you are and we might be done, but if you get Alola first then so be it. =) CycloneGU (talk) 08:25, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Oh yes! I wanted to talk to you about renaming some of the uploaded files. The following Costumed Pokemons has been renamed to Spooky in-game (Pikachu, Gengar, Sableye, Pumpkaboo, and Gourgeist. I'm wondering if we can rename those files to follow the in-game name. Shiny Genesect also appears have used a lowercase 's' in its file name. Lastly, there is a duplicate file that needs to be deleted. To be honest, I'm just going for Sinnoh because I wanted to fix that Togekiss Winking up as well. While the file name is correct, the summary wrongly writes its # as 547. It irked me, but I don't want to disrupt the order in which I'm doing things. That's why I'm trying to get to Sinnoh to fix it. Sucoleo (talk) 09:01, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Do they look good now? All have been moved from their Costumed link to a Spooky link, such as Sableye. Genesect appears to be me initially, I think it was the only Shiny (at the time) and I didn't worry about the s that much, but we made it consistent now. CycloneGU (talk) 18:28, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, they all look great! It's so satisfying seeing them like that. I didn't notice that it was you who named the Genesect that way. Now I'm feeling kind of guilty haha. By the way, I have noticed there are two missing sprites in the ZIP - Slurpuff (809) and Helioptile (818). It was included in v1.9, but not in v1.10. They share the same quality, so I'm wondering if we can use their v1.9 sprites as replacement. Sucoleo (talk) 19:52, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Remember the other permission noted was 1.9. Don't worry about it. If they're in the 1.9 ZIP anyway, just use them. Hopefully he'll update the ZIP himself. CycloneGU (talk) 20:55, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
