MS Sprites
Could you tell me where you are getting the MS sprites for the new Pokémon? We are trying to avoid stealing from other fansites, as it may cause trouble with them. Chosen of Mana 20:10, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
- Take a screenshot of the game, save it to your computer, use photoshop to cut around the sprite, it takes hard work and patience to get these sprites up. SeanWheeler (talk) 20:16, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
- Whoa guys, slow down! You're asking for me to work even more. It took me almost all day uploading the normal sprites. I'll try to upload as much as I can. At least the normal sprites are done. Those are the most important sprites. But the animated sprites will be hard. The battle sprites will be the hardest to do. SeanWheeler (talk) 01:03, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
- Well, at least I managed to get my Aegislash in Blade forme. Don't really use Aegislash much for offense. SeanWheeler (talk) 01:26, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
- Haha, I think all of us are excited to see a user upload sprites out of scratch. We really do appreciate your hard work. Keep it up. ht14 08:10, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
- Just poking in here. If you're able to, please try to prioritize on Pokémon and forms that were introduced in Generation VI. Since they have no MS yet, unlike the previous 649 Pokémon, they're certainly the most needed of menusprites. Also, menusprite sizes in Gen VI need to be 40×40 pixels, rather than the previously used 32×32. Thanks for all of the work you've done. Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:36, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Well, I did something different and uploaded a trainer sprite. It was a lot harder than the Pokémon menu sprites as the picture was a lot bigger and I had to remove the textbox. SeanWheeler (talk) 15:55, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
- I think you need to upload a new version. The one you uploaded needs better cropping. There are bits and pieces of her body missing. Ataro (talk) 18:00, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, the Lass needs to be worked on. But what about Shauna? SeanWheeler (talk) 21:31, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Confronting thieves
Please leave the contact and discussion of image theft between the suspected individual and the staff. If you believe you have evidence of someone stealing images from another fansite, let an active member of staff know and allow us to deal with it. Thanks, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 18:44, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi
Hi SeanWheeler, can you let me know how you are able to upload images for the Pokémon models for XY? ht14 22:42, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- Now this time, I did not use Serebii. I did not. I actually cropped them with Gimp. I took a screenshot of the game with the Prt Scr key, pasted it unto the Gimp, cropped a square around the Pokémon, used the fuzzy select tool on the background to remove the big parts of the background, and used the eraser for some little parts. And if you are suspicious and would check Serebii first, go ahead. But when comparing my sprites to their's you'd find that their models are in different poses than their's. My Caterpie is facing more toward the camera and is bigger than both of Serebii's Caterpie models. And my Fennekin is in darker lighting. It'll take a lot of work to change poses from models from Serebii. And here's a good comparison of Chespin: [1] and [2]. They're different, and what ever Kogoro checks in the coding to determine whether it's stolen, it shouldn't match Serebii. Or another Pokémon Wiki. These images have a bit of originality to them. I gimped and cropped them myself. SeanWheeler (talk) 00:13, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- While it's great that you're not taking images from other sites this time, it would be preferred that you stop uploading XY models. Unfortunately, the quality of the images you're uploading is rather poor and we have plans to start uploading clean sprites within the week. I hope you understand, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 05:44, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know my sprites are poor. If I have known sooner that you were planning to start uploading this week, I wouldn't have done it. I'm not a master with Gimp and I was only doing it because since Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire were announced, we should have the XY sprites by now. I'm glad to know we're going to make sprites this week. SeanWheeler (talk) 09:02, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
