Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Ryudragoon!

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

File names

Please do not upload files with non-alphanumeric characters in its name. The only characters allowed are A-Z, a-z, and 0-9. Also, don't put PNG in the filenames. If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide. Pattyman 22:37, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello

Hello Ryu, I would like to point out a few things that you've to keep in mind while uploading the images on Archives. Always use lowercase extensions when you name the image files. That means .png and not .PNG and if you're using .jpgs, it's .jpg not .JPG or .JPEG. Also, please license the images correctly. For example, this one is a screenshot from a Pokémon game, so it should be licensed as {{i-Fairuse-screenshot-game}} instead of {{i-Fairuse}}. There is a "Welcome" template on your as well. Kindly give it a thorough read, it'll help you in understanding Bulbagarden Archives' policies. I hope that you'll remember these things in the future. Thank you, have a nice day ahead :) ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 18:01, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Well, one thing you do need to do is read the first section of your talkpage. It will give you all the guidelines for our format here in the Archives, including signing after every comment, with the use of four tildes (~). Thanks. ht14 19:01, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
