Many of the images you are tagging as duplicates are not. For example, Wartortle: [http://veekun.com/dex/media/pokemon/main-sprites/diamond-pearl/back/8.png DP], [http://veekun.com/dex/media/pokemon/main-sprites/platinum/back/8.png Pt], [http://veekun.com/dex/media/pokemon/main-sprites/heartgold-soulsilver/back/8.png HGSS]. If you compare them by changing tabs, you'll notice that HGSS has bluer fluffy bits, and Pt has a minor change on its ear from DP.
