Manga images
CoolPikachu has informed me that he is not really fond of your rather small, bad-quality images, as several pages have them and all appear pixelated. As such he would like it if you began uploading clearer manga images. --P S Yライダー☮ 05:13, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
To be honest, I've been trying to upload clearer manga images. It is very hard to get the ones that he/you want(s). I uploaded the Barboach one to see if I was doing it right (size wise). Pattyman 11:48, 12 April 2011 (UTC)- Disregard that message, I just started to upload the higher-quality images to replace the bad ones. Pattyman 19:01, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Replacing JPGs with PNGs
I know that you have been warned in the past about reuploading JPG files as PNGs. I hope that you have been getting the PNG files from the source and uploading them, not simply converting the file. --SnorlaxMonster 13:33, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I have been getting all of my pngs from source except for the game images (from appropriate sources as in flib for anime). I'm not sure where to get game images from. Pattyman 13:54, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Just another reminder
To check if the image is used in Bulbapedia. I don't care if it's being used on a userpage, however, if it's being used on a template or on a page in the mainspace, I want it changed and then tagged for deletion on the Archives. Maylene's sprite was used on a template. Cheers --P S Yライダー☮ 19:54, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- I constantly check where the images are being used before I move them. I didn't know that the template containing Maylene's sprite was locked for editing. Pattyman 20:17, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Ok...
Ok, ok. Before you continue uploading. I need to say this: stop for a second. Unless they're really notable, then it's not needed to upload separate images for all of those Pokémon. It's best to just do it in one big image, especially considering that since they're so small, they'll look ugly when put in the template. Ataro 21:19, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
- I agree with you on that part but you forgot to put the é in Pokémon. Pattyman 21:22, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
The show/hide function
It's not for that, or for hiding duplicate images. It's for hiding vandalism and personal information that may find its way on the Archives. Only use it to hide that sort of stuff, thank you. --P S Yライダー☮ 05:05, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- Ok Pattyman 05:32, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
A few things
Don't ever use MS Paint to change images. Also, don't convert jpgs to pngs, I think you've been told this before. Lastly, those manga images are fine. --P S Yライダー☮ 02:55, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't converted any jpgs into pngs lately (including the manga image), I got my own images. I have one question; if I want to change images, what's a good suggestion instead of MS Paint? Pattyman 03:30, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Rivals
Just curious, why did you create this huge category when the most of the categories can be simplified with who is in the picture, rather than a large broad category? I don't think it's really needed because of the subcategories, however I want to hear your reasoning please. Thank you. --P S Yライダー☮ 06:47, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- A little addition, why just the anime? There are rivals in many of the Pokemon canon. Ataro 07:25, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think the best way to use that category would be to create separate categories for each rival, and categorize those categories there, making it just an umbrella category. --SnorlaxMonster 12:00, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- I created that category as there were some rival characters (such as Conway and Tobias) that did not get their own categories possibly due to them not being notable enough for one. There are some characters that acted as a rival towards the main characters (Angie to Ash and Butch and Cassidy to Jessie and James). I was interested in them after Burgundy and Langley joined the side.Pattyman 13:00, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Attention
While we appreciate your attempts to help, the regular mistakes in style and protocol can't be ignored. For the time being, we regret to inform you that we're removing your Junior Administrative rights. In no way does this mean we don't still want your help, but if you want to become a Junior Administrator again you'll have to step up your game and better follow style and protocol. Thank you. --P S Yライダー☮ 02:27, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Bayleef jumping
I thank you for so quickly finding a better quality image of Bayleef's jump. Could you possibly do me a favour, by a) updating the other two images I uploaded (both are from the episode directly after the one you took the Bayleef shot from) or b) helping me locate the source so that I can do it myself. Could you also please reply to my talk page so that I can get your message? I would appreciate it very much. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 11:27, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- Done. If you want to find images, I would recommend that you don't use youtube (but another site related to it without the pixelated images). Pattyman 17:19, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
File:Seafoam FRLG1.png
Just wondering, do you know why you moved this file from its previous location? It broke the link from bp:Appendix:FireRed and LeafGreen walkthrough/Section 10, and was not noticed until now, almost 6 months later. Blake Talk·Edits 01:02, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- I moved the image because of png being capitalized as those are disallowed on filenames, only lowercase png is allowed. Other than that, thanks for noticing the problem. Pattyman 01:46, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, just changing PNG to png would have been fine, but you changed the whole format of the name, as well as the whole series of RBY maps. But you only changed the first of this series of images, which was weird so there is an inconsistency. I guess it doesn't really matter now that the images are linked correctly. I just wanted to know why it was originally moved. Thanks, Blake Talk·Edits 03:04, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Pattyman 03:07, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
A request
Is it possible that you could upload one or more images of Lance's Dragonite using one or more moves in Pokémon Adventures manga? --FinnishPokéFan92 13:15, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- Certainly. But Ataro already beated me to them. Pattyman 17:28, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Dr. Namba's Electabuzz
I agree that it's not right, but after I read this:
- Have you provided detailed information in the summary, including source information?
and checked SpellOfTheUnown_poster.jpg, I thought there was no problem. Maybe the "Uploading checklist" should be revised. Thanks! Duke R 18:45, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
- I wouldn't go into detail on sourcing if it is an anime screenshot or manga scan. If you're getting something from another site, such as trading cards or posters, then you will have to source them. But be careful, there are certain sites that won't allow you to take stuff from them, especially fansites such as pocketmonsters.net. Flib is an exception though. I got the Electabuzz image that I reuploaded as a screenshot. Thanks for pointing the checklist out. Pattyman 19:41, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, understood. I'll take care next time. Thank you! |) u |( e 19:18, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Animated PNG help
Do you know if animated PNG images need to be uploaded in a specific way? I've tried uploading one in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, and it doesnt seem to work in either browser. It just keeps returning me to the Upload Media page, with no error messsage. Vuvuzela2010 20:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Nope, either Marked or Masatoshi may know about uploading pngs? In fact, I was also wondering about this as well. Pattyman 21:13, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
Nice job
I love the way how you upload good manga images. However, one of your latest images, the one where Blue's Porygon2 uses Recycle, isn't visible in Bulbapedia. Could you fix it if you can? --FinnishPokéFan92 13:21, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
