Just want to let you know the images for the 3DS games aren't supposed to be animated, since the full size for them is going to be way too large. Also one other thing too, not sure how you are getting the sprites but I have been planning on getting the full size images of them (I have just been busy with a lot of other stuff from the games). I've been exporting them to Photoshop, which lets me tune the lighting so that it's now more consistent with the game. ::::These images are looking a lot better, just one little thing (never figured it out great myself). On some models (such as the SMUSUM female Veteran) there is lines on her belt. The problem is caused by the backside of the belt bleeding through in the front. ::::::Oh you mean the other Lusamine for Ultra Space? I already have that one done, and have for over a year never got to uploading it. :::::::Are you able to fix Faba? ::::::::Haven't been able to figure it out yet with the weird lines. As for Faba's glasses, the opacity may just be too low, so I can fix that later. I can put the PSDs that I've been working on in a Drive if you wanna help out with that. Thanks. TehPerson (talk) 00:02, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
:::::::::I am currently away for a few more days, so I won't be able to help until at least next week. However, if you can put the PSD files that you are working with in a Drive or a Dropbox, that would be appreciated. When I get back, I can see what I can do about those problem files (it likely will be easier to just do them in blender, but I will have to take a closer look when I get back). ::::::::::Just want to let you know I am back, so I can check on those whenever you have them somewhere. Also like I mentioned before, the XYORAS ODs are better off being left for now. I have already done a huge portion of them, I just haven't gotten to uploading them and getting the others done. It should also be noted no ODs are identical from XY to ORAS, all of the ones reused in ORAS have some sort of change to them (some more major than others). == Let's Go models ==
I just thought I would let you know for Let's Go we don't need the in-battle models. We only will need the VS models and overworld models. Each character only has one model now, not multiple like the 3DS games. The same model is used for the overworld, in-battle, and VS models. Having it three times with just a different pose is pointless. Lady Ariel (talk) 22:05, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
== Thank you! == | |||
Words can't begin to describe how grateful I am for you for uploading the proper VS models for Archie and Zinnia, after they've been using the "temporary" ones for over three years! Now the only VS models I think we're missing from Generation VI are the ones for Brendan and May with Mega Bracelets. And maybe also the alternate poses for Team Flare Grunts, but I consider those of lesser importance. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:24, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
== Candy == | |||
Were you given permission to change all the Candy sprites? I asked numerous staff members and I was told to leave the amount of white space originally on the files. Lady Ariel (talk) 01:14, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
The "original" dimensions are 42x42px. When used as they are, they look disproportionately smaller than they should compared to the app. I didn't want to copy-paste the note every time. TehPerson (talk) 01:20, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
:Not sure where you got the original dimensions of 42x42 from, the files ripped from the game came out at 64x64. Where did you get 42x42 from? Lady Ariel (talk) 01:24, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

:::I ripped the 64x64 images myself from the most recent version of the game. The files hosted there must be outdated and from old versions. Lady Ariel (talk) 01:44, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
::::Ah I see, there was a 0.127 and an 0.129 versions of the APK. Well, feel free to revert those then, uploading Candy sprites is excess work anyways. TehPerson (talk) 01:51, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
:::::On another related note...I see you are uploading the GO images for the Pokémon. Well we have those images already to be uploaded on this end, and some aren't going to be uploaded yet. Do you have Discord? If not could you make a Discord account and contact me on there? It would be a lot easier so we can communicate since we keep running into each other. ::::::Had one years ago, forgot the login so I'll have to make a new account. For now, I'm just re-uploading the ones flagged "bad image" and the ones currently being used in articles. TehPerson (talk) 02:12, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
:::::::I have a lot of things I work on for the site behind the scenes (most is never uploaded by me, usually by others since I have so many things going on for the site). I have a Dropbox and a ton of links for what I am currently working on, but I won't post any of that publicly. ::::::::Sounds cool. I'll hit you up once I get to re-making a discord. In the meantime, let me know if there are any POGO images you want me to hold off on (eg unreleased Pokemon, etc) :) TehPerson (talk) 02:29, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
:::::::::Sorry I was a bit preoccupied and just now saw your message on here. I think unreleased Pokémon should be skipped for now, but its a little late now. The only thing that will likely happen is that we have to update their images when they get released (sometimes minor adjustments are made to them). :I just noticed that the Dancer VS model you've uploaded is likely from the Battle Tower, since it's holding a regular Poké Ball, as opposed to an Ultra Ball, which Dancers outside of the Battle Tower use. So technically, that model is incorrect in that regard. PS. I'm looking forward to you uploading the rest of the missing SwSh VS models. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:38, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
::Yeah, that's also true for Rail Staff and Artist and probably at least one more. I planned on getting better photos once everything else is already done, since the Poke Ball is a very low priority. TehPerson (talk) 03:21, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
:::I look forward to that, although it seems you've been busy uploading GO-related images recently. I hope you'll get to uploading the remaining VS models soon. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:49, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
::::GO images are simple because they're readily done. The VS images I have to 1) find a clear raw image- usually by going through several minutes of video for each screenshot and then 2) carefully cleaning them in Photoshop. I've already completed the ones I found screenshots for, and I don't know when I'll have the chance to do more. However, if you can assist with step 1, that would be a great help. :::::Unfortunately, I don't possess a Switch nor a copy of Sword or Shield. Must the video footage be directly recorded from those games to be usable? ::::::I have no means of video recording from the Switch, but Youtube has a lot of people who do. I normally screenshot them from the "walkthrough" videos (i.e. searching thru 40+ hours of video), so I don't have time to do all of them. TehPerson (talk) 16:56, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
:::::::I understand. I could help you find some of those videos if that'd help. Also, as I asked before, do you create the Double Battle class models from existing Single Battle class models? Because of you do, you could already create some, if not all of the missing Double Battle class VS models. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:49, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
::::::::Which ones are missing again? == Alcremie ==
Hi, I'm apparently still an administrator here (despite eight years or so of inactivity, haha). Can you help me understand the reason for deleting those Alcremie files? And is it all of those Alcremie arts of that type that you want deleted, or just the tagged ones? —<span style="font-family:Verdana"><span style="color:#000">darklord</span><span style="color:#0047AB">trom</span></span> 02:51, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
:They're essentially duplicates. We originally wanted to use the in-game models in place of artworks (for form difference tables, etc), then HOME came out, and it had better quality models. So we switched to those. Then we got the SwSh sprites uploaded later with their correct filenames and canvas dimensions. Essentially we need all the Alcremie files deleted, but there's so many, and I figured the admins will get the picture. Hi there TehPerson, I was looking through the Eevee (Pokémon) page and I noticed that the female models were missing from its sprites section. A lot of other images have that same issue, such as the female Veteran, Masked Royal, Lusamine, and Professor Kukui. Lady Ariel (talk) 17:25, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
- Haven't been able to figure it out yet with the weird lines. As for Faba's glasses, the opacity may just be too low, so I can fix that later. I can put the PSDs that I've been working on in a Drive if you wanna help out with that. Thanks. TehPerson (talk) 00:02, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- I am currently away for a few more days, so I won't be able to help until at least next week. However, if you can put the PSD files that you are working with in a Drive or a Dropbox, that would be appreciated. When I get back, I can see what I can do about those problem files (it likely will be easier to just do them in blender, but I will have to take a closer look when I get back). Lady Ariel (talk) 14:21, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- Just want to let you know I am back, so I can check on those whenever you have them somewhere. - For now, the only issue I have is dealing with semi-transparent materials (like with Faba's glasses or Lusamine 2). Blender may be better with dealing with that, though I already have my own pipeline in place for exporting the image out of Photoshop. TehPerson (talk) 02:29, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- These images are looking a lot better, just one little thing (never figured it out great myself). On some models (such as the SMUSUM female Veteran) there is lines on her belt. The problem is caused by the backside of the belt bleeding through in the front. The only solution I have figured out is to apply a blank transparent image to parts of the backside of the belt (only to the parts of the belt causing the issue). If you have any questions about how to do it specifically, please let me know. Lady Ariel (talk) 02:13, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- First of all the images, like I said before, shouldn't be animated (there is a reason, the file size has a tendency to crash the site I have been told). Second, the images are too small they should be 1280x1280 (just like the ODs). Third, if you use the shadeless option and remove the lamp you won't have any lighting to deal with in blender. And lastly, there is way too much white space the camera should be positioned to take up most of the white space (so there is only white space on the left and right, next to nothing on the top and bottom). If you have Discord I can give you a lot more detailed instructions, honestly I would appreciate if we could work together here and get them done (I have a lot of different model projects I am working on for the site, from tons of games). Lady Ariel (talk) 00:44, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- I use Photoshop instead of Blender for the lighting changes. Default camera already in place, and then I export the sequence of .png, and string them together for an animation. TehPerson (talk) 00:05, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
Let's Go models
I just thought I would let you know for Let's Go we don't need the in-battle models. We only will need the VS models and overworld models. Each character only has one model now, not multiple like the 3DS games. The same model is used for the overworld, in-battle, and VS models. Having it three times with just a different pose is pointless. Lady Ariel (talk) 22:05, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Thank you!
Candy
Were you given permission to change all the Candy sprites? I asked numerous staff members and I was told to leave the amount of white space originally on the files. Lady Ariel (talk) 01:14, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
The "original" dimensions are 42x42px. When used as they are, they look disproportionately smaller than they should compared to the app. I didn't want to copy-paste the note every time. TehPerson (talk) 01:20, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Not sure where you got the original dimensions of 42x42 from, the files ripped from the game came out at 64x64. Where did you get 42x42 from? Lady Ariel (talk) 01:24, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Now I'm curious, where did you originally find the 64x64 sprites? TehPerson (talk) 01:39, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- I ripped the 64x64 images myself from the most recent version of the game. The files hosted there must be outdated and from old versions. Lady Ariel (talk) 01:44, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Ah I see, there was a 0.127 and an 0.129 versions of the APK. Well, feel free to revert those then, uploading Candy sprites is excess work anyways. TehPerson (talk) 01:51, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- On another related note...I see you are uploading the GO images for the Pokémon. Well we have those images already to be uploaded on this end, and some aren't going to be uploaded yet. Do you have Discord? If not could you make a Discord account and contact me on there? It would be a lot easier so we can communicate since we keep running into each other. Lady Ariel (talk) 02:08, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Had one years ago, forgot the login so I'll have to make a new account. For now, I'm just re-uploading the ones flagged "bad image" and the ones currently being used in articles. TehPerson (talk) 02:12, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- I have a lot of things I work on for the site behind the scenes (most is never uploaded by me, usually by others since I have so many things going on for the site). I have a Dropbox and a ton of links for what I am currently working on, but I won't post any of that publicly. Lady Ariel (talk) 02:21, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Sounds cool. I'll hit you up once I get to re-making a discord. In the meantime, let me know if there are any POGO images you want me to hold off on (eg unreleased Pokemon, etc) :) TehPerson (talk) 02:29, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry I was a bit preoccupied and just now saw your message on here. I think unreleased Pokémon should be skipped for now, but its a little late now. The only thing that will likely happen is that we have to update their images when they get released (sometimes minor adjustments are made to them). Also I replied on my talk page to you, in case you don't see it. Lady Ariel (talk) 03:20, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

Fabricated images
As a rule, we want images that come from games. If you want to upload something that goes beyond that, then even if it would somehow be faithful, please do consult staff beforehand.
The images of larger than normal Candy that you uploaded will be deleted. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:45, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
Character Art
A user on twitter has been releasing the character art for Gym Leaders. Since I can't do it myself, I was wondering if you could upload this image and attach it to Gordie's page. If you upload it, I should be able to edit the page myself, but I cannot upload the picture myself as a new user. I appreciate it in advance!

Model requests?
We're still missing some models from Generation VII and even VI. Most notable cases that come to mind are Gladion, Professor Kukui, Olivia, and Hala's VS models from USUM with Z-Power Rings. Are you able to take models from the 3DS Pokémon games? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:02, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
Pokémon GO models
You should know that files can be uploaded more than once under the same file name by clicking "Upload a new version of this file" under the thumbnail table. --キーAコン 14:55, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
Something to fix
The "VSMedical Team.png" has a black line at the lower edge, and I don't think it should be there. Just thought I'd let you know. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:54, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
- I just noticed that the Dancer VS model you've uploaded is likely from the Battle Tower, since it's holding a regular Poké Ball, as opposed to an Ultra Ball, which Dancers outside of the Battle Tower use. So technically, that model is incorrect in that regard. PS. I'm looking forward to you uploading the rest of the missing SwSh VS models. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:38, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's also true for Rail Staff and Artist and probably at least one more. I planned on getting better photos once everything else is already done, since the Poke Ball is a very low priority. TehPerson (talk) 03:21, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
- I look forward to that, although it seems you've been busy uploading GO-related images recently. I hope you'll get to uploading the remaining VS models soon. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:49, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- GO images are simple because they're readily done. TehPerson (talk) 14:17, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I don't possess a Switch nor a copy of Sword or Shield. Must the video footage be directly recorded from those games to be usable? Also, can you edit some Double Battle class models from the Single Battle class models you already possess? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:52, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- I have no means of video recording from the Switch, but Youtube has a lot of people who do. I normally screenshot them from the "walkthrough" videos (i.e. searching thru 40+ hours of video), so I don't have time to do all of them. TehPerson (talk) 16:56, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- I understand.
- Which ones are missing again? I remember that I held off on some because the Poke Balls weren't right (taken from Battle Tower), but at this point it probably doesn't matter that much, as it's an easy fix later on. TehPerson (talk) 16:31, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
- The missing Double Battle VS models are those of Music Crew and Daring Couple. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:12, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Just to make sure....
The images you recently uploaded of Eiscue, Darmanitan, Melmetal, and Eternatus... did you produce these images yourself? We've had issues recently about this so I just wanted to make sure. --celadonk (talk) 00:30, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
Alcremie
Hi, I'm apparently still an administrator here (despite eight years or so of inactivity, haha). Can you help me understand the reason for deleting those Alcremie files? And is it all of those Alcremie arts of that type that you want deleted, or just the tagged ones? —darklordtrom 02:51, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
- They're essentially duplicates. TehPerson (talk) 16:35, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Something weird...
I've discovered that the female version of Spikemuth Gym Trainer apparently has a VS model, despite only the male version being battled during the Gym mission. Do you have any idea why this is? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:11, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
Missing female eevee models
Hi there TehPerson, I was looking through the Eevee (Pokémon) page and I noticed that the female models were missing from its sprites section. I tried modifying the template so that it would display them, but I immediately noticed that the female models from sw/sh were completely absent.
Since you seem to have originally uploaded the male eevee models from sw/sh, as well as the male and female eevee models from home, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind uploading the missing female eevee models (I myself don't know how to make them the way you did). I would really appreciate it :) Alt (talk) 16:25, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
ORAS models
Hey, do you remeber where did you get models like these [2]? I'm interested in non-trainer models like old man/move deleter etc.--Team Rocket Grunt (talk) 17:56, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
- They were done by Lady Ariel. I just uploaded them. TehPerson (talk) 18:00, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
