I was under the impression that the sprites on Serebii were ripped from actual screenshots and not created by Serebii. If this is indeed the case, then they are fair use and Serebii does not own them. The sprite in question appears to be ripped from a higher-quality version of [http://img199.imageshack.us/f/screenpyj.png/ this screenshot]. I'm not sure what you meant by "Serebii doesn't like his images being stolen".
