:We're currently working on slowly getting rid of gifs, and replacing them with anipngs. Note that the Emerald and Crystal sprites are all gifs while the DP sprites and on are all anipngs. The Trainer sprites that you speak of... there are many things that go on in the Archives; if you are able to, do upload the anipngs for those sprites.
