Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, PardescanSlowbro!
Bulbagarden Archives bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Image quality

I'm sorry to say, but the quality of the anime images you've uploaded isn't up to Bulbapedia's standards. Please either try to find a higher quality source, or leave the image uploads to some other user who does have access to better quality versions of the images you wish to be uploaded. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 06:34, 8 November 2018 (UTC).

I'm afraid my capacity is limited in this respect. I'm fine for someone else to takeover and effectively replace those images with higher quality ones.PardescanSlowbro (talk) 06:45, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Is it all the screenshots or only a select few? The older episodes especially during the Johto arc do vary in quality PardescanSlowbro (talk) 06:57, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Basically all of them. Also, don't forget that it's "Pokémon", not "Pokemon". --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:35, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
You haven't exactly said what the issue is, is it blurriness? lighting?. Plus if it such an issue, who would be prepared to takeover? Do I just send a list of the images I want to someone and hope they get uploaded shortly? PardescanSlowbro (talk) 07:53, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes. It's the blurriness. You don't use a good enough source. And regarding your location uploads, use the "Location" template. Also, you uploaded a picture of the Ilex Forest shrine, despite the fact that we already have a picture of it. Please always be sure that you aren't uploading a duplicate picture. Also, for an anime picture of a thing that appears in the games, put "anime" at the end of the picture title. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:32, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
You're doing it again. Plus, you're neglecting to add the proper categories. Try finding a high quality version on the internet that you can download. I've used that method to get my high quality screenshots with proper dimensions down to the pixel. I'd recommend you a site where you could find the good source material I use, but Bulbapedia does not approve those kind of links. Good luck. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:13, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
The categories, please. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:03, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi

Please read the checklist when you upload media files, and be sure to tag and categorize all images. If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide. --ht14 00:08, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

You're still not adding appropriate categories. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 05:35, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Image quality again

Your Pikachu & Pichu images have noticable black edges, which isn't considered good quality. You should avoid uploading such images. Please find better versions with no black edges or ask someone else to upgrade the pictures. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:25, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

Are you offering your assistance? As said before I'd much rather someone else upload the wanted images, but haven't I found anyone to that for me. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 09:02, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
I have that short on DVD, but do you could also ask an admin like Chosen if they could help or guide you to someone who can help. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:32, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Here's a very easy way to get proper screenshots:
1. Find a good quality version of your material from the internet (use Google, should be easy to find).
2. Put the material on full screen mode.
3. Press "PrtSc" on your keyboard when the shot you want is on the screen.
4. Open the "Paint" program, select "Paste", and save the image.
5. In case of a wide screen shot, then resize the image to 1280x720.
That's how I've done it. Easy enough once you've gotten all the right tools and material.
Also, please, avoid uploading low quality images in the future. It just creates more work. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:52, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
