The file redirect would be named liked <nowiki>[[File:Pokemon.png]]</nowiki>. After about three minutes I created my {{redlink|File:Pokemon logo English.png|two}} {{redlink|File:Pokemon logo Southeast Asia.png|redirects}}, {{u|Abcboy}} marked my two redirects with the template {{template|delete}} with the reason "<i>file redirect</i>". So I wanted to ask if those two redirects will stay or not. Thank you! [[User:Pokéfan95|Pokéfan95]] ([[User talk:Pokéfan95|talk]]) 12:02, 21 June 2015 (UTC) | ||
:File redirects should only be created for linking purposes, specifically in cases where templates must link to a file name that isn't the exact name of the file. (Such as Pokémon sprites & models, as seen in the sprite box on species articles.) Redirects that serve no purpose, such as the two you created, aren't needed and get deleted. To note, I have deleted the two redirects. - [[User:Kogoro|'''<span class="sc" style="color:#DA70D6;">Kogoro</span>''']] '''-''' [[User talk:Kogoro|'''<span class="sc" style="color:#FFB6C1;">Talk to me</span>''']] - 08:11, 22 June 2015 (UTC) |
