			:I don't know for sure what kind of images the ones you uploaded were, but I assume what you did was either just change the extension from .jpg to .png (which does, by the way, not change the image mimetype or anything, it's still a jpg file with a png extension) or opened the JPG image and saved it as PNG (which, again, conserves the JPG artifacts and other quality-lowering stuff caused by JPG's lossy compression).
