+This template has not been updated since June 2021, and its functionality seems to have been replaced by the "VS/(game)" series of templates instead, as of November 2021.
+There has also been some recent confusion about whether to use this template or "VS/(game)" templates, when the latter seems to be the established thing to do now (for example: "vstrainersprite" does not support Scarlet and Violet, but "VS/Scarlet and Violet" does support it)
