::::::Generally, JPEG images are unfavourable because they lose image quality easily and also the PNGs generally show up in thumbnails better. I seem to recall {{u|Maverick Nate}} telling me a while back that card images should be uploaded as JPEG anyway though. A cursory glance at recent TCG sets shows that they are still being uploaded as .jpg, so maybe it would be best to contact him about that. Regardless, I dunno what the heck happened with this Wailmer card but the JPG would probably be better than the GIF in either case. | |||
::::::As for the IC images, it turns out they've never been converted to PNGs since it wouldn't really make a difference in image quality (I guess they don't use many colours if they're sprites from the games). Since the difference in image quality is basically nil, it's not really worth the use of time and server resources to fix. I guess if they were being uploaded today, they probably would be PNG, but they're already there, so it can be ignored at this time.
