Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Tuturuu!

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Just wondered

Just wondered why you uploaded all the sugimori art to new filenames instead of uploading over the official files such as File:253Grovyle.png ? --S2daam (talk) 18:52, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Only the staff is allowed to overwrite existing images. --Tuturuu (talk) 20:21, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
Not true. Any user is capable of uploading over existing images after their account has existed for enough days & they have made enough helpful edits to the Bulbagarden Archives. Instead of uploading images to different names, it's highly advised that you upload them to an image sharing site (like photobucket, tinypic, or imageshack) or a personal file host (like dropbox). Then, you can link your image via the talk page, and someone will upload it to the existing filename for you. Additionally, Pokémon artwork are limited to a width and height of no more than 1280 pixels. Please be sure that no dimension of additional images you upload exceed this limitation. Oh, I see. I will keep these things in mind. Thank you. --Tuturuu (talk) 10:32, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
