I uploaded an English version of :File:Pokéwalker battling.png, exactly as I found it here (image) (except for trimming it and making it a png). That image had a gray tint, not unlike the Pokewalker's screen. Abcboy is expressing concern about the battle image's colors matching the other image on the Pokewalker page, which likely came from here, where the images do indeed use pure black and white. If you ask me, though, that's a fairly trivial concern (heck, they'll still be in different languages either way...). As something of a purist, I just don't think the image should be essentially altered from how it was found. My problem is, I don't know if the Archives have any rules or anything about this. So I bring the question to staff: is the whitened image OK? Tiddlywinks (talk) 04:14, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

:To me, it isn't much of a big deal with the gray tints on the Pokéwalker screen images, its not like they're blurry or anything. However, since a majority of the English version ones have the grayish background, it should be kept that way, and the Japanese ones keep the white background. The Archives do have a rule regarding drawing on images, as they should be left the way it is instead of drawing on them. ::Just an addendum, was trying to keep it consistent not only with that image, but also with images like :Category:Pokéwalker route images and :File:Pokéwalker Settings.png. But I understand, the images should be kept the same as when they came from the official source. --Abcboy (talk) 22:19, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
