It helps reducing the file's size, by removing redundant parts (You should do it at the very end, though, as {{tt|editing|Changing speed of the frames seems to be fine, though, at least on what I've been using.}} an optimized animation makes it messy, due to the way program works). For example, [[:File:Fire Blast PMD RB.png|this file]] was about 536KB before it went through optimization. You should also include a first frame in the animation that's skipped in the actual animation (as I've done in the file, which is reflected by thumbnail), for the browsers that do not support anipng. Also, I am assuming you've used the 3DS capture card, right? If yes, you'll probably be asked by staff member to upload a specific screenshot, presumably a nicknamed Bulbasaur, as a proof of having it{{tt|.|Unless you've already done that, then...
