More browsers support [http://caniuse.com/#search=webm WebM] (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera; IE9+ and Safari with plugins) than [http://caniuse.com/#search=apng APNG] (Firefox, Safari). Since both formats fulfill the same purpose in practice, we should consider the addition of WebM support and replace our APNG stuff with WebM files.
