Hi Tokoyami, it's great that you're uploading scans for us, but I've noticed you do a lot of self-advertising in the summaries of the files. Please understand that, when you upload your work to a wiki, it becomes fair game for anyone else with the same creative commons license as us to use the same work under the same license. Working on a wiki isn't about getting all the credit or making a name for yourself, it's a very selfless thing to do. There are countless users who do the same thing as you, scan things themselves and work hard for the good of this wiki. When you upload something, your username is there attributing the work to you. If someone chooses, they can click on your username which will then take them to your page where you can advertise all you wish, but please don't force it on other people. If after reading this, you choose not to upload your work, then that's up to you. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I also learned about your userpage. That's sad, since your userpage was way cool, and it seems people are too lazy to do their own userpage.[[User:TokoyamiTheDark|TokoyamiTheDark]] 17:38, 10 November 2010 (UTC) | |||

I appreciate you providing scans but when we already have them and yours doesn't really substantially improve the quality (in actuality, the quality is worse), you can't just upload over a perfectly good scan just to have your site linked in the summary. :Oh, ok. I understand for my site linking in the description. But, I don't understand what do you means by saying my card's quality was worse than the previous ones. The SR Reshiram has a strange feeling when you touch it, as the texture of the lines of the card aresensible by touching, and the 'foil' used was quite strange. Since my SR Reshiram scan showed those kind of 'foil' I wanted to upload it. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. [[User:TokoyamiTheDark|TokoyamiTheDark]] 16:41, 27 February 2011 (UTC) |

The artworks
They look awesome. Just make sure you find a place on the wiki to use them. MaverickNate 14:25, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- Do you have a plan for them? MaverickNate 14:31, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- Midori Harada: This place is for images only. The wiki is where actual content goes. MaverickNate 14:35, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Your scans
Are much too dark. The images are for the artwork, and the sheer amount of darkness your scans have...makes them so you can barely see the artwork. Can you try to scan them so they aren't so dark and dull? I would like to use your scans, but if they aren't better than what we already have, I'd prefer not to. Hi
Please read the checklist when you upload media files, and be sure to tag and categorize all images. If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide. --ht14 21:48, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Okay
Your scans are fantastic, but, when the images are already at the standard name, i.e. File:Latias3POPSeries7.png, those typically are already decided on the ones we want. If they aren't in their standard name, go right ahead and replace them, (especially the ones with numbers in the name, like File:006017 P HIKOZARU.jpg) but, if they are in their standard file name, I'd like you to wait off on adding them to the pages until we decide on which one is better, and tell me that you have a different scan of card "***". Could you do that?
When we move them to the standard names, it typically means the scan is good as is, and it is unlikely to be replaced. If you could, try to focus on replacing the small Japanese images we have, please. The over 1000 numbered files can be found here. That is our biggest concern for card images as of yet. Ok
Two things: first off, set the TCG cards to the standard as shown by Mav: File:<Pokémon name><expansion name><number of card from expansion>.jpg. Second, you have failed to comply with the categorizing of the cards you uploaded. While those cards are great and all, you did not listen to what I have said to you twice. I will block you if you don't listen. This is your final warning. ht14 02:53, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Mistakes were corrected, I was apologised, and it's like if nothing happened. TokoyamiTheDark 03:20, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Oh right
You're not allowed to remove stuff from your talk page... it's kinda a rule around here... it's for referencing. ht14 03:08, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
I had 2 or 3 duplicate messages, so I thought somebody was SPAMming my talk page. Now I know I should not remove them. TokoyamiTheDark 03:21, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
You're fine
Just press on. You aren't in trouble, just keep going MaverickNate 03:17, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Sugimori art
How are you cropping? It seems that you're using a selection tool, which doesn't look appealing. Try using a "magic wand" of sorts.--immewnitythemew 16:34, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- I always use the magic wand to select the area to make transparent. However, MyPhotoCropper 'resets' the transparency on an image. The spot(s) who were to be transparent then becomes white. However I have succeded at cropping my images successfully while keeping the transparency using PhotoShop. Great Job at repairing my original images! I'll fully credit you for my next update in a few hours on my website! TokoyamiTheDark 21:22, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
We have things called standards
For instance, the card image name standard. It is page name, without spaces and punctuation. You should know this by now. We have also, official romanizations for 70 of the 156 new Pokémon: Tsutarja, and Meguroco for instance. Card image pages are formatted in a specific way as well. The summary is the article name, and the images get the Pokémon category and the set category. You must follow our standards, or else you won't be here for long. MaverickNate 17:07, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'm trying to, but I just don't understand what is a 'standard'. I do format card image pages but I don't understand the 'summary is the same as article's name', Is this a new rule?TokoyamiTheDark 22:51, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- Note I felt ill not long ago, so I had to leave my computer after uploading these. I now know what you mean. It is true that image uploading was banned to everyone for a few weeks, but if I try to put 'Jouney Partners' on the tags, the links is red and says 'Page does not exist'. Is it normal? But thanks for telling me about the Romanizations, I was unaware of that ;)TokoyamiTheDark 23:00, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- The link is red, yes. But all Categories start as red before anyone creates them. MaverickNate 23:01, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'm recently having a hard time with high school, especially in the middle of Autumn, when the whole class is sick and your parents still send you to school despite being ill and tired :S But I know what is formatting and how it can be done. It might seems weird but... Thank you for warning me.TokoyamiTheDark 23:07, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
